Manage Business Cards in the Cloud using Evernote

This product has been awarded the Award for Excellence in the 2012 “Evernote DEVCUP” Japan Prize.

“Cardful” is an Evernote-integrated app which allows you to quickly and easily manage all your business cards in the cloud.
Business cards which are added to Cardful are OCRed (optical character recognition carried out) automatically and stored in Evernote cloud services - allowing you to carry around your business card data anywhere you go AND not have to worry about your iPhone’s remaining disk space.。

Register Cards in a Snap
Registering new cards to Cardful is as easy as taking a snapshot - literally. All you have to do is to take a picture of the business card using your iPhone and the text data on the cards (such as names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.) are all OCRed and saved automatically according to its fields. Editing features are also available for adjusting the image quality and cutting out unnecessary portions from the image. Even if the photo of the card is a bit crooked or if the text didn’t come up as clear as it should have, you can use the photo-editing features in Cardful to make the necessary adjustments.

Register Cards from Images in Evernote
Cardful also allows you to register cards via images saved in Evernote. All you have to do is to select your Evernote notebook and let Cardful do its job. Cardful also automatically carries out OCRing while it loads all the cards from your notebook - taking away the hassle of having to type in all those names and addresses.

Over a Thousand Cards at the Palm of your Hands
All the card data is stored in Evernote’s cloud services - meaning that you can store as many cards as you want, without having to worry about your iPhone’s remaining disk space or having iPhone be slowed down by all the bulky data stored.

Edit Cards from Anywhere
The information registered to the cards can be edited from Cardful, or straight from Evernote. If you prefer to edit the information on PC, you can take snaps on iPhone, upload the cards to Evernote, and then log in to Evernote from your PC (at any preferred timing) to edit the registered info.

Search out Cards Quickly and Easily
Cardful’s powerful search options allow you to search for cards using keywords such as names, company names or any “memos” which you may have saved along with the card. There is also a calendar-integrated feature which allows you to search for cards tied to a specific event in your calendar. If for example you are looking for a card received from a person who you met at some particular conference, you can search for it by searching out “cards registered few days prior / after that specific event (conference)”. Meaning, even if you can’t remember the name of the person, you can search out the card from this “time-based” search.

Make Calls, Open Maps all directly from Cardful
Simply tap on the phone numbers / Email addresses / addresses / URLs registered to the cards to make phone calls, write Emails, open map applications, or to open the URLs in the default web browser. Data registered to Cardful can also be easily exported to the iPhone “Contacts”.

Register info in Calendar to the Memo
Cardful’s “Memo” feature is integrated with iPhone’s “Calendar” app and with “Facebook”, so just by selecting the event name you can enter that particular event inside the memo. By registering an event in the memo, it makes it easier for you to search out people that you met at particular events.

Limitations for the Free Version
None of the features are limited in the Free Version, but the number of OCR runs allowed is limited to 30 cards for the first month and 10 cards for all months that follow.
You can also upgrade to the Full Version anytime from inside the app, for 1,200 yen (tax inc.) and have unlimited OCR runs.
