Cascade Spanish uses a two phase process (Phase 1 and Phase 2). The role of Phase 1 is to equip you with a starting knowledge of Spanish. Phase 1 consists of 7.5 hours of Spanish audio lessons interweaved with 17 short Spanish stories. You get you first story after just 20 minutes and all the stories in Phase 1 are written using only words you have been taught up to the point. In other words, your comprehension of every story you are given is expected to be 100%.

Phase 2 works the same as Phase 1 but with the main difference that it only consists of stories. Phase 2 consists of special Spanish Story Albums. The albums are designed to teach and to entertain you while putting you through as little strain as possible. If you consume the story albums in the order they are meant to be consumed, Cascade Spanish makes the following assurances:

a) High comprehension: Most (~90%) of the words in any story you consume will be words you have been taught up to the point.

b) High repetition of new words: New words are introduced in story albums and repeated at a rate that is designed to be enough to teach you the words from the mere act of you just consuming the stories.
