What is it about?

The most prevalent challenge to the study or practice of law is the multiplicity of sources from which one is expected to gather information on case law, statute law and other legal authorities. We have thus developed the most comprehensive compilation of all relevant cases in English, American and Ghanaian law which are required to be read by an LL.B/ LL.M student. The founders, having personally experienced first hand, the harrowing nature of legal research in Africa, have gone to extreme lengths to build a culturally relative e-learning platform to solve a daunting research problem that has existed since time immemorial. The cases are tailored to meet the needs of both law students and legal professionals and so contain summaries/briefs of the relevant facts and majority decisions, as well as the full judgement of cases for in-depth study and analysis. The app also contains all Gold Coast/Ghanaian statutes, multinational charters and international conventions required for study in a variety of legal disciplines. Users can interact in the comment section of any legal material. As a single case may be relevant to various areas of law, students will enjoy this feature to discuss any relevant dicta, principles of law, precedent or other authority associated with a case or statute.

Numerous opportunities abound with the extent to which the application can be used to aid students in their legal study. In subsequent updates, the app will be gamified with multiple-choice questionnaires on past questions set for the Ghana School of Law entrance examinations as well as other carefully crafted questions by the Law Faculty and other legal scholars. Students may challenge themselves to real time friendly one-on-one or group quizzes and games on a variety of legal topics.

PC users may also access all content on our web app at https://v2.casebook.live/ . Our feedback section serves as a suggestion hub where users may inform us on their experience with the app and recommend ways to improve that experience. The app is for the users and so we will accommodate all ideas to the best of our ability in our updates to produce the most enjoyable learning experience for all.
