Catch-up Numeracy with Emile

Catch-up Numeracy with Emile is a specially designed Catch-up Numeracy intervention solution for year 7 pupils and their teachers.

The award-winning Emile has been developed with experts from Manchester Metropolitan University’s Faculty of Education.

Catch-up Numeracy works on a 6 week basis; it delivers an initial assessment to determine players’ abilities, allocates maths based games accordingly and reports on progress.

The games are set up on the engaging story of Emile’s adventure in a mathematics universe. While players visit planets in Emile’s Universe, they learn mathematic concepts in different areas such as geometry, place value, measurement, statistics, addition & subtraction, multiplication & division, algebra, and ratios. By helping Emile defeat the evil Scrambler- the gems thief -, players also learned how to solve problem and improved their numerical fluency in the meantime.

Games in the app cover all numeracy contents in UK maths national curriculum from Year 3 to Year 6. Additional games can also be allocated by teachers as homework for pupils.

The app comes with an easy to use browser-based classes managing system that can pull in class details from most LMS via Wonde.
