CeramicAR
What is it about?
CeramicAR, as seen in British Vogue (March 2021 Issue), is an augmented reality (AR) iOS application created by Priscilla Nini Ikhena, that brings to life the thoughts, memories and concerns held in the ceramic cube memory series exhibition created by ceramic artist, Carina Claassens. Each unique cube comes with its own unique AR experience, which is a guided and reflective visual journey through the layered meaning behind each memory cube and the way these meanings intersect with our own realities. For each memory cube, one is able to have a visual AR experience that provides more context about the cube, and interact with it in a way that leads to not only a deeper understanding about the memory, concern or subject to address that the cube presents, but also a reflection on what roles one could play in a given system at large.
