App Store Description

Write emails, text, post to Facebook, or tweet in all 20 of Alaska’s Native languages!

Chert is a third-party keyboard allowing you to type special characters found in Alaska’s Native languages. Many of these characters are not available on Apple’s default keyboards. Customize your keyboard by enabling only those special characters present in the languages you use.

Chert uses the same press-and-hold method used to type special characters like é and ü on Apple’s default keyboard. This preserves full English language functionality, so you can switch languages without switching keyboards.

Chert includes all special characters present in Alaska’s Native languages.

Big shoutout to:
- Alexei Baboulevitch (Archagon) for building an amazing open-source keyboard that can be found here: https://github.com/archagon/tasty-imitation-keyboard
- icons8 (icons8.com) for providing the icons used on the tab bar for free.
