CHI Chat Messenger

The CHI Chat Mobile Application is the easy to use app that gives users the ability to send each other chat messages across the CHI Enterprise in a secure way (i.e. all messages are encrypted (e.g. secured) to assure HIPAA compliance in the case of PHI content). This application is access controlled with user name and password.

Users may
• view messages
• send or receive messages
• send messages to one or several chat users.
• respond to messages

Users will be notified of new messages via the device in two ways:
• the device native device notification service
• the unread message badge counter visible on the launch icon.

The Secure Chat Mobile Applications encourages community, in a peer to peer setting, across the CHI Health Network, reducing the challenges of distance, time and scheduling constraints.

The CHI Chat Mobile applications is only for use by CHI Health Network Members, non-employee clinicians, and patients that Catholic Health Initiatives is providing care for. This application is access controlled with user name and password to gain access to CHI Chat.
