Continued uncertainty around Brexit has highlighted the importance of capacity-building in the customs intermediary sector and the necessity to boost ‘in-house’ customs capacity amongst business that are regularly trading with or through the UK.

The Clear Customs training programme, delivered through Skillnet Ireland by CILT Skillnet, is supported by the Irish Government’s “Getting Ireland Brexit Ready” campaign. It offers immediate and free customs training to customs intermediaries and to businesses who frequently trade with or through the UK.
Delays at customs due to incorrect or inaccurate declarations can result in disruption to both business and customers. By taking steps now to train on how to effectively complete a customs declaration via the Clear Customs training programme, helps pre-empt Brexit related customs challenges

The Clear Customs mobile app provides learners with on-the-go access to engaging and meaningful content about customs declarations. The easy-to-access; easy-to-use content will reinforce and enhance your customs knowledge using a variety of activities such as quizzes, videos, checklists and practice exercises. Used in conjunction with the virtual classroom sessions (delivered by expert Customs Practitioners), this app provides a next-generation mobile learning experience.


ABOUT THE CLEAR CUSTOMS TRAINING PROGRAMME
The aim of this programme is to upskill in the area of customs procedures and documentation for continuous or future trade with or through the UK. The app provides access to online modules, which are a key part of the programme.


WHO IS THE CLEAR CUSTOMS TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR?
The Clear Customs training programme is targeted at Irish businesses, or others acting on behalf of businesses, who:
> Import goods from or export goods (or are planning to) to the United Kingdom
> Import goods from or export goods (or are planning to) to other countries through the United Kingdom
