The Coastal Bend Food Bank (CBFB) reduces hunger in South Texas through food distribution and nutrition education.
CBFB is a nonprofit organization that solicits and distributes food which might otherwise go to waste or be discarded by manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. Since 1982, CBFB has been fighting hunger in the Coastal Bend by providing food and personal care products to various charity and service agencies.
The CBFB services an 11-county area of South Texas and 150 agencies operate. The CBFB feeds over 38,000 people per month and 400,000 people per year.
