Located in Chattahoochee Hills Georgia, just 20 miles southwest of the Atlanta Airport, Cochran Mill Park, with 800 acres of woods, fields, and streams, features stunning waterfalls, huge boulders, rock outcrops, wildflowers, native azaleas, mountain laurel, and the ruins of 3 historic mills. In 2010, donations from almost 400 local families in the City of Chattahoochee Hills allowed the City to purchase Cochran Mill Park from Fulton County.
Detailed Trail Maps
Each trail is plotted on an interactive map so you can plan your route through the park. Tap on any trail to view details such as elevation changes and trail length. See your exact position and heading along the trails, even when cell signal is not available.
Interpretive Trail Locations
Cochran Mill Park has a unique history. You can follow along and learn interesting facts about the park while traveling the Orange Interpretive Trail. View photos, descriptions, location coordinates and more.
GPS-based Hike Tracking
Want to keep track of your hikes through the park? No problem. The Cochran Mill Park app has a built in Hike Tracker which shows the current position, distance traveled, elevation, route taken and time. Tracking a hike works in the background so you don’t need your phone in your hand while you hike.
With or Without a Cell Signal
That's right! The Cochran Mill Park App will work even when the cellular signal is not available, so you can still track your hike, view trail maps, and access emergency contact info.
You can also view additional park details and have access to an Emergency Information page should you need to contact emergency personnel.
Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
