This is the windowed version of Colossal Cave, perfect for anyone preferring a gentler virtual reality experience. Alternately exists a wild, fully immersive VR version. While the “Retro” version presents a 2D view into a 3D world, all built around an intuitive eye tracking technology, the “VR” version completely buries the adventurer in a rich, magical realm filled with terrifying cliff edges, magical and twisting corridors, and deep dark corners.

For the full VR experience, search for the “VR” version of Colossal Cave. Our recommendation and our intent is that you seriously consider buying both. They were intended as a bundle, but Apple technical limitations stopped that. Both are great, and unless $40 busts your bank, we recommend you buy both. Watch for the vintage lantern!
