ABOUT OUR APPLICATION:

Compare Numbers is a fun and exciting way to educate and entertain your child anytime, anywhere. It is an educational supplement that richly blends the fundamentals of subtraction, addition, division and multiplication in a format that strongly enhances your child’s cognitive skills; give your child this edge. After launching the application, your child is presented with a menu of ten (10) problem formats on the left side of the screen, and then he or she makes a selection and uses the Next button to randomly generate problems. Upon a correct answer, the application seeks to bolster confidence and self-esteem by displaying positive reinforcement phrases, and by animating friendly characters across the screen. Also, there is positive reinforcement when your child does not answer the problem correctly; we are here to motivate!


KEY FEATURES and BENEFITS:

• Compare whole numbers and fractions
• Varying degrees of complexity from simple whole number comparisons to basic mathematical manipulations to understanding and evaluating simple fractions
• It has a “Hint” feature that uses two horizontal bar graphs to provide your child with a graphical example of the comparison
• Maintains a score of your child’s progress
• Adults who want to enhance their mental agility can use some of the more advanced options

Tips:
• After opening the application, select the level of complexity on the left hand of the screen
• As you are presented a question you will also receive three responses (<, = , >)
• If your response is incorrect the application will allow you to continue to respond until you give the correct response or you can skip to the next question by pressing the next button in the lower right corner
• You can also select the “Hint” button, which will present a bar graph displaying the numbers being compared – this enables your child to quickly grasp the results
• There is an on/off option for sound in the lower left hand corner
