App Store Description

Conserving the Sargasso Sea is the first-ever iPhone app developed for a proposal to protect a high seas marine area.

Developed by the Sargasso Sea Commission, a partnership led by the Government of Bermuda to protect the Sargasso Sea, the app offers a map of the Study Area, nine reasons why the area should be protected (and associated images), recent news updates and links to more information about project partners and relevant international organisations.

The app was developed for the general public, to educate users about the importance of the Sargasso Sea and to share information on a proposal to protect a high seas marine area in a mobile and easily portable format.
