iCubate has developed CoughDx, an alternative sample collecting method for COVID-19 molecular testing, only approved for certified clinical labs (CLIA) in U.S. Compared to the Nasopharyngeal swab sample collecting method, the new approach will have the following unique features:

(1) Less invasive and no discomfort to the end-users (patients or healthy individual for pandemic screening).

(2) Easy to use, allow end-user self-sampling, no exposure risk for healthcare workers.

(3) Performance comparable to the swab method.

(4) The method is compatible with different molecular assay methods, including qPCR, multiplex PCR (iCubate) , or isothermal amplification methods. No extraction procedure required.
