Credit Building Symposium 2019
What is it about?
CBA's Credit Building Symposium is intended to create and foster a dialogue between non-profit organizations involved in credit building and those corporate entities whose business practices include credit reporting, credit scoring and/or grantmaking. Our goal is to broker more discussion between these two connected industries with the intent of continuing to bridge gaps in understanding and strengthening bonds in the credit reporting arena. An overarching theme for the symposium will be the linkage between the work being done in the credit building field and that of the broader issues of income inequality, poverty reduction, asset building and financial capability. This is a great opportunity to learn and build industry relationships!

The theme of this year’s Credit Building Symposium is “The Value of Credit,” highlighting both the impact credit has on opportunities for individuals, families and small businesses, and the ways non-profits are able to create, promote, and measure this impact.
The 2019 symposium will include three tracks:
1. “Programs and Products” will highlight the tools and resources that organizations use to develop or enhance their credit building programs, including credit coaching and facilitating access to safe credit building financial products.
2. "Policy and Industry" will emphasize new and important advocacy efforts and innovations that underscore the need for consumer-friendly policy changes at the regulatory level and also within the credit industry itself.
3. "Integrating CBA Services" will showcase how members have leveraged the growing number of CBA services to enhance client and organizational outcomes.
We look forward to seeing you there!
