Cuore Verde

Il territorio del Cuore Verde si estende nella fascia collinare compresa tra il Lago Maggiore e il Lago d'Orta.
I suoi centri abitati, caratteristici e di notevole bellezza, conservano una struttura antica con suggestive chiese e ville nobiliari. Le alte colline tra i due laghi, ricoperte da boschi di castagno, faggio, pino e betulla, sono ricche di sentieri, mentre i suoi dolci pendii sono occupati da serre per coltivazione di fiori e ampi pascoli.
Sono molti gli sport d'acqua praticabili nel territorio del Cuore Verde: canoa, vela, sci nautico e attività subacquee. Colline, montagne e Riserve Naturali offrono innumerevoli possibilità per praticare trekking, effettuare escursioni a piedi e in bicicletta, cavalcare, lanciarsi in entusiasmanti voli in parapendio e, durante l'inverno, divertirsi sulle piste da sci.
La tradizione gastronomica del Cuore Verde tra Due Laghi raccoglie sapori, colori e profumi unici che nascono dal magico incontro tra lago, montagna e collina: le famose tome del Mottarone, fresche o stagionate, i mieli, il burro, le castagne e i piccoli frutti.

The Cuore Verde region extends into the hills between the Lake Maggiore and the Lake Orta. Its notably beautiful population centers, characteristic of the region, have been able to conserve an ancient structure, with cobblestone paths, small markets, rural architecture, and courts and palaces from the Baroque Age and the nineteenth century.
Cuore Verde’s tall hills are covered by forests of chestnut, beachwood, pine, and birch trees and are full of trails. Their gentle slopes are covered with nurseries that grow and sell Acidophilus plants, which brighten up every garden in the region.
There are many water sports available in the area: canoeing, sailing, water skiing and scuba diving. Hills, mountains and nature reserves offer countless possibilities for trekking, hiking and biking, horseback riding, paragliding launch into exciting and, during the winter, have fun on the slopes.
The culinary tradition of the Green Heart of Two Lakes collects flavors, colors and scents that come from the magical encounter between the lake, mountains and hills: the famous Toma cheese from Mottarone, honey, butter, chestnuts and small fruits.
On the territory you will find events ranging from live music to international film festivals, in addition to many initiatives dedicated to contemporary art.
