App Store Description

Simple, fast, personal, minimal, readable: management of actionable tasks made easy!

Dashplus is an innovative list and ToDo app that introduces actionable items. Simply swipe lines to the right to change their state, and unlock actions where needed. It is based on the eponym system devised by Patrick Rhone: any item of a todo list is actionable. Having used it for years with pen and paper, we are very excited to bring it finally to a digital implementation, on the iPhone. The app is completely gesture driven: swipe right to edit lists title and tags, swipe right any list item to apply action to it, swipe left to delete, and swipe down to add items. It has been designed and engineered so that you spend your time at what matters - doing - rather than adapting to a complex system or workflow.

The fans of David Allen's "Getting Things Done" method will be at ease to master their workflow, as the system quickly and seamlessly enables to:
- collect: add an item to your Inbox from anywhere within the app by simply shaking the iPhone (collection bucket)
- process: action your items. Can be done in two minutes? Do it, and mark is as done (+). Will take longer? Delegate it or defer it (arrows actions). Not actionable? Move it to a "Maybe" list. Important? Mark it as such (triangle) and review it from the important items pane
- organize: tag list, sort them, easily move items to another list (empty your inbox in seconds)
- review: keep your system functional, pop-up one of the synthesis tables to have an overview of what is left, what is delayed, what is important and what needs a follow-up
- do: the app and the device are really smart, but they cannot do your job for you, sorry.

The biggest challenge was to make it as fast as the pen & paper version of the Dash-Plus system. Traditional users will not be disappointed, beginners with this system will see a surge in productivity.

Features:

- clean, readable interface, integrated with iOS 7 font size management
- all items actionable by a single gesture. Where needed, notes are added to the item
- tap and hold, drag lists and items to re-order them
- circular icon for quick glance progress indicator with optional number of active items or number of total items
- inbox creation and adding to by shaking the iPhone accessible anywhere within DashPlus
- templates for recurrent lists: swipe right on a list to create a template, swipe right on a template to create a list - couldn't be simpler
- landscape mode (we type with two thumbs as well)
- tags to organize, personalize your GTD system - everything is where you put it, not where our interpretation of GTD asks you to put it
- fast search of titles, tags, content
- synthesis views: opened items, important items, deferred/delegated items
- email tasks, add reminders
- send important or done items to DayOne if it's installed
- send reminders to Fantastical if it's installed (I hope it is, it looks magical)
- move tasks to other lists in a single gesture
- dark mode (on/off)
- sounds (on/off)
- cheat sheet, tutorial videos, byline (subtitles) on actions

Still hesitating? Two more reasons, besides it's great, to get it:
- given the dev plan for the next year, the introductory price is a bargain
- the proceeds of the app sales are used to fund our school-in-a-box project, where we bring iPads to a remote village in Indonesia, and develop modern teaching methods. Read about it here: http://tmblr.co/ZPu3Byl5Mjgy
