App Store Description

dbTrack™ is designed to empower and inspire you to protect your hearing health.

The dbTrack™ app uses earphones with dbTrack™-technology to measure real-time sound exposure inside the ear canal when listening to music, playing games, watching videos etc. The real-time decibel level is displayed in the app and the entire experience is controlled by you. You decide how loud you like to listen to your music and the dbTrack™ app will tell you how much safe listening time you have left with real-time feedback to take care of your hearing.
The dbTrack™ app calculates accurate sound dose per day and per week (a combination of loudness and duration), and then adjusts sound to a safe level (optional). Detailed historical information is provided to track listening habits.

Take control of your listening experience with these features:
- Premium sound quality
- Real-time, accurate sound monitoring
- Calculation of safe listening time
- Optional auto volume leveling when reaching your daily sound dose
- Parental control for your child’s listening habits
- Built-in hearing test
- Tracking of listening habits over time
- Detailed listening data analysis on the dbTrack™ web portal.

The dbTrack™ app also allows an accurate smartphone hearing screening, which consists of digits-in-noise. The screening presents 3 digits, presented over background noise, which you are then prompted to respond to. This screening determines your signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) which is indicative of your hearing ability. Should you not receive a favourable outcome from the screening, we encourage you to seek a complete hearing evaluation performed by a certified hearing healthcare provider .

The digits were developed by the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
