App Store Description

Deep Sky Companion Pro is a pocket encyclopedia on different objects in the outer space. With Deep Sky Companion Pro, you can get information on the most popular space objects. The Pro version has additional information on more than 10000 NGC, IC and Caldwell objects. A description and a search map can be shown for every object.

Deep Sky Companion Pro contains information on more than 100 popular and beautiful objects, such as star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies. On each object, you can get detailed information, its image and search map. All of these objects can be observed with an amateur telescope, the majority of the presented objects can be seen with binoculars, and the most interesting ones are visible with a naked eye. Deep Sky Companion Pro also makes possible to quickly find a required object, searching by name, constellation, or tool used for observing the object.

Deep Sky Companion Pro is helpful for both studying astronomy and just relaxing under the starry sky.

Using Deep Sky Companion Pro is very easy. The application’s main window contains the complete list of available objects. With the buttons on the bottom bar, you can set up different view modes; e.g., show only objects that are visible with a naked eye. Use the Search button to run an advanced search by name, number in the star catalog, constellation, etc. To view detailed information on an object, simply select the object on the list. That will bring up comprehensive details, including object name, brightness, observation availability, photo, and so on. You can also bring up the sky map by clicking on the Show sky map button.
