Sleep Phase Wakeup Clock is much like other apps in its category with a few added features as well. One of these is the microphone support which will assist the app in analyzing your sleep patterns as well as a progress bar that will tell you how much time you have left to sleep. In the end though, the most important thing is that this app works as advertised and is a reliable alarm that can be used on a daily basis, making this a great app.

An alarm clock that monitors and analyzes your sleep cycle and wakes you up in the lightest sleep phase, making you feel rested and relaxed. This is done by utilizing your devices microphone or accelerometer to sense your subtle movements when you are asleep.

Everyone goes through a number of deep sleep and light sleep phases during the night. Depending on the phase you are in when you are woken you either feel relaxed and rested or tired. Sleep Phase wakeup clock monitors your sleep phases during a window of 30 minutes of the time of your choice and wakes you up when your sleep is the lightest, thus ensuring that you feel great every morning.

When using the microphone (available with iPhone only) to monitor your sleep rhythm, you can place your device a few meters from your bed. If background noise makes it impossible to monitor your subtle movements in bed via the microphone, or if you own an 2nd generation iPod touch, you can choose to place your iPhone next to your pillow and the accelerometer will sense your movements accurately and wake you up at the ideal phase of sleep.

Keeping your device charged during the night is recommended, as your battery might run out otherwise.
