An app to avoid is iOutline. This app is both simple and non-functional. There are too many features missing in this app for us to recommend it. Even if you want a barebones app, this one might be too much so.

It supports bullet lists, with multiple kinds of bullets e.g. star, dot, square etc., and enumerated lists, with support for several kinds e.g. numbers, letters, & Roman numerals. Each list item can be multiple lines of text. You can apply color to a list item and you can make an item boldface and/or italic.You can print to AirPrint-compatible printers. You can send an outline as an HTML or text email or as an RTF attachment or iOutline file attachment. You can open iOutline documents that were sent to you as email attachments.
