Give your old iPhone a new life; reuse it as a Hearing Aid.
Have you ever wonder why your old folks stop watching TV together with you?
Have they complained about the TV volume being too soft?
Do you always feel that the TV is too loud?
That’s because they can be having problem with their hearing. Hearing begin to fade at an age of 45 yrs old. Take a free hearing test using this app http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hearing-test-with-audiogram/id512571089?mt=8
Unfortunately, there is no “elderly glasses” for this problem. Hearing aid can be a solution, however it is an expensive device.
Loud sound can further harm your hearing, but a properly tuned hearing device can delay further damage to your ears and may prevent tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
The aim of this program is to provide simple hearing assistance. Everyone can now watch TV together, without causing discomfort to another. It runs on your IPhone or IPod Touch or IPad. It runs on IOS v4.0 onwards, and hence can be used on an old IPhone 3GS.
•Supports Multitasking
Professional hearing aids need to be fitted in their lab, but not this one since it has
•Build-in self-tuning that will allow you to have it fitted at home.
Don’t waste money on standalone hearing assistive devices for your TV; they cannot be adjusted base on your hearing profile. You may be spoiling your hearing using them.
Unlike them, this program provides
•Single frequency and single adjustment at a time, for hearing profile capture.
•It has 128-frequency bands amplification base on the 8 major bands.
The new version supports:
•Simple Noise reduction
•One to one conversation like a hearing aid.
To use, simply attached a headset to begin. Place the device near/close to the TV with microphone facing the source.
For best result, tuning should be done in a quiet environment. Fine adjustment can be made while the program is running by clicking the fine adjustment button.
Note:
For people with severe hearing loss,
Increase the overall sound level to maximum before starting the tuning process and reduce it during actual usage base on their preference.
•Best used with an in-ear headset.
This program is not a hearing aid replacement. When user is uncomfortable
•Please remove and reduce the master volume.
•Not suitable for prolong usage (remove and rest for 15 mins every 2 hours)
