Building a house should be planned with a balance between physical buildings, environment, and people as the residents. As basic knowledge, conventional housing as compared to green housing produces 10 to 30 tons of CO2 a year and it directly becomes one of the major factors to contribute to the global warming catastrophes. Therefore, a green development agenda becomes a new impetus in the arena of construction industry.
Malaysia is committed to its target of becoming a net zero-carbon by 2050 to meet the Paris agreement goals. Efforts to accelerate the growth of green economy remain at the core of the country’s socio-economic development. This conference will provide a new insight and understanding in the field of sustainable green housing development and financing, to further understand their issues and challenges particularly in Asia. It will seek perspectives from key figures in the public and private sector on prospects and ambitions for green housing as well as green finance and investment.
This Conference will bring together participants from all over Asia, including investors, financial regulators, policy makers, and representatives from corporations, developers and offers a unique opportunity for the private and public sectors to exchange views, discuss the current initiatives and priorities for 2022 to further strengthen the capacity in developing and financing the green housing agenda.
