Doot consists of two layers of overlapping dots of different colors. Since both layers are visible, you can move the dots on the top layer and bring up the dots from the bottom layer. For example, if you are swiping the top level dot from right to left, the right bottom level dot moves up to the top level, which provides you with more matching opportunities.
