Down Groups - New Friends IRL

Want to go out but your friends aren’t free? Use Down! If you have plans in mind, create a hangout group and others can request to join! Or simply request to join other users’ groups! These hangout groups can be used for anything you can think of, such as finding teammates for pickup sports, companions for a nice meal, peeps to rock out at a concert with you, buddies to volunteer or work out with, and so much more! The point of Down is to facilitate small, intimate hangouts and get people connecting in person, so use Down for whatever you would do with your homies!

GROUPS
Create groups around a plan to hang out. You will be asked to fill in the title of your activity, the location and time of the hangout, the number of people you want in your group, and any questions you may want to ask requesters. Users will see your group and request to join. You will be able to see their responses to any questions you input as well as their profile to help you decide whether you want to admit or deny the user from your group.

CHATS
Once group requesters are admitted, they are placed in the group chat for the group to plan out the details of the hangout, such as rides or cost. You can also message other users personally if you both are friends on the app.

BLUEPRINTS
There may be times that you want to go out but don’t know what to do. That’s what blueprints are for! Blueprints are ideas for hangouts placed on the app by us. The title, location, and time (if applicable) are already pre-filled, and you just have to create a group for it.

PRIVACY
For groups, you have the option of creating them as public, friends only, or invite only. The option you select will dictate who is allowed to see your group and request. For individual users, you will be able to optionally display profile items such as your age. You will also have the option to block and report other users as you deem necessary.
