What should be a simple task is made trickier with the different packaging, colours and pack sizes used by manufacturers today. Add the range of specialist button and coin cells available to the mix and finding which size battery is right for you can become a real problem.

Features:
• Comparison data (comparing data lines of different batteries): nice idea from a user perspective.
• Detailed reading (clicking/sliding along a data line to read the voltage/hours/whatever): very useful. The sheets are currently visual only and the ability to read off data/numbers at various points along the curve would be very useful.
• Send/share data: very useful. They use datasheets to discuss batteries with their customers and the ability to move around a sheet easily would be welcome as would the ability to email a PDF directly from the app.
• He said it would be good to have a little positioning copy for each battery brand (e.g. from the Pro Pack – Plus, Ultra, etc).
• He’d also like a little info on the conditions under which the test for the charts was performed but this may not be acceptable to P&G for competitive reasons
• Better to format for tablets rather than phones (or both).
• Ensure any design that is ultimately printed should be printer-friendly (i.e. on white background).
• Detailed view of charts would be useful.
• Of more use would be to choose the conditions for the chart. They currently look through the available charts on the sheet to find the one that closest matches their specific need. So to be able to navigate to a chart through options, or build a chart based on criteria, would be useful. E.g. he knows the torch he has needs to last for 5 hours so goes through the sheets to find the batteries that give him that result.
• Add to favourites – very useful. 80+ batteries but they only refer to a handful on a regular basis.
• Safety Datasheets: would be useful to include both Safety and Product datasheets as he works with these as much as product data.
• Linking all info together – linking to the Battery Finder app.
• Includes common, everyday batteries, button and coin cells, plus more specialist batteries
• Easy navigation: narrow down your search by battery shape
• Visual reference by life-sized view and profile of the battery sizes available
• Battery codes to help you identify which battery you need to re-order
• A link to the Duracell mobile site
