闽南语（Manlam ngy)，发源于福建泉州，即是闽南地区，亦称闽南话，在台湾亦称为河洛话（Hō-ló-ōe），或台湾话、台语、河洛语等，另外也有福建话（东南亚，港澳，海外）的称呼，属于汉语闽语的一种，也是最具有影响力的闽语。语言学的分类上，中国语言学者多认为闽南语是一种汉语方言，最接近古代中原河洛话。西方学者多认为是一种语言，属汉语族。闽南语一词有广义狭义之分，广义指学术上泛闽南语的集合，狭义则仅指闽台之闽南语。学术上以最古老的泉州腔作为标准腔。
