礼拜水忏的殊胜功德若能还原佛法中的深意，在礼忏时将与法义更相应。佛教经典的譬喻故事中，就有佛陀「以水洗疮」疗治众生苦恼病痛的譬喻。此种疗病的方式，并不只是「以水洗涤疮痍」，同时是和佛陀散发的慈光、说法、布施、持戒等佛法契接融合的忏悔之道。
「慈悲三昧水忏」APP收录了圣严法师12篇文字及影音开示，以慈悲的法水滋润心田，而得清凉自在欢喜。经由忏悔更积极主动地对人好，当对不起自己时，或遭遇困难时不怨天尤人，随时承担起责任，面对、接受、处理，且能自在的放下，而心无罣碍。
