游戏讲述了一个海盗复仇的黑暗故事。游戏中的主角在幼年时期遭遇剧变，村庄被毁，于是他立志找出凶手为大家报仇。在那次变故中，他全家遇害，自己的左手也被砍断，他给左手装上了铁钩，现在玩家需要的就是控制主角完成他的死亡复仇。
