EAO Field App MVP

The purpose of this mobile application is to provide the Compliance and Enforcement Officers of the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office (BCEAO) with a tool that can be used while in the field and on-site at the projects that the BCEAO Regulates. The app will integrate with work product in EPIC. This app will provide officers with the ability to collect data and observations from the project site to assist in the completion of Inspection Records.

The app focuses on the collection of photos, inspector notes, and geographic coordinates. Users will be able to add requirements related data - such as pictures, map coordinates, and notes.
The app connects to the Environmental Assessment Office’s EPIC application to get the most up-to-date project information. The app will allow users to complete and save work while offline, storing data locally on their mobile device and - once users return to a network area - the app will allow them to upload their content to the EPIC servers.
