The Building Trust and Accountability (BTAcc) pathway aims to deepen the dialogue on trust and ethics as a critical contribution to strengthening business’ role in society. The National Business Initiative is addressing the urgent need to build trust and accountability toward addressing the level of ethical practice within small and medium-sized enterprises as well as driving SMEs toward better ethical practice.

The EC4B platform provides SMMEs with knowledge, capacity and guidelines on how they can manage their businesses in an ethical and sustainable manner. The App provides a digital/online platform where SMMEs can engagement with content, case studies and source guidance on how to operate as ethical businesses by focusing on these five (5) thematic areas, namely; Compliance, Registration and Authentication; Public Procurement, Whistleblowing, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Sustainability. The App ensures easy and immediate accessibility ,so the SMME has a mobile guide and source of tips, examples and references to legal and other important business requirements.
