1. Purpose of the App:

The purpose of this app is to assist the public during the Shree Ganesh Visarjan festival in Thane by:
- Segregating eco-friendly and non eco-friendly materials used for making Shree Ganesh idol during immersion (visarjan).
- The users register for their Shree Ganesh Murti(idol) immersion(visarjan), by selecting the official immersion site, with the material used for their Shree Ganesh Murti, which helps in the appropriate segregation of the idol for immersion.
- Providing information about eco-friendly immersion practices
- Listing official immersion sites designated by TMC (Thane Municipal Corporation, a local Government Authority)
- Helping users select a site in advance for smoother crowd and logistics management
- Assisting TMC administrative staff in tracking and managing immersion-related operations.


2. Clarification of Affiliation with TMC as a non government technical service provider only:

- Please note that while Rohit Joshi has been appointed as a technical service provider, the entity is not an official part of TMC. It operates only as a third-party service provider under TMC’s guidance and does not represent the government in any official capacity beyond this project.

- We have been issued an authority letter by TMC to develop and operate this app on the behalf of TMC. We can produce the same as and when required to whomever it may concern.


3. Data and Public Usage:

The app is free to use by the public.

- We collect information such as your name, contact details, and site preference to help TMC manage immersion facilities efficiently.
- We do not use your data for any purpose other than site management and facility organization for the Ganesh festival immersion activities.
- We do not share your data with third parties except with the relevant authorities at TMC for operational purposes.
All information is managed solely for operational purposes during the Ganesh Visarjan period.
