ekko’s debit card makes it effortless to plant trees, save plastic bottles and track your carbon footprint
Our mission’s a big one! Help our community plant over 50 million trees and prevent
over 500 million bottles entering our oceans over the next five years.
And what’s an easier way than simply tapping your debit card? With every transaction, there’s a positive reaction.
Simply go about your daily life - shopping, buying a coffee or paying bills...and good vibes will echo around the world. Make a meaningful and positive impact on the environment in little ways, without changing a thing.
The ekko app lets you:
● Plant trees with your transactions. For every 50 transactions with the
ekko debit card you pay for a tree to be planted though our partnership.
Why every 50? To have the best chance of improving our climate, each ekko tree
that’s planted is based on the latest research on geography, biodiversity and
weather conditions. Every tree is maintained for the first five years to
make sure they thrive and grow into adult trees.
● Help with ocean-bound bottle collection through our partnership with the
award-winning Prevented Ocean Plastic. Every five transactions with your card sees ocean-bound plastic bottles collected and recycled.
● Be part of the wider ekko enviroconomy with our marketplace. This curated list of sustainable partners offers climate-friendly goods and services.
How you can help
Other things ekko does are:
● Letting you spend with sustainability in mind
● Making it easy to buy the best eco-friendly products from our marketplace
● Watching your own forest grow as your actions plant trees
● Monitoring your carbon footprint via a carbon meter linked to your bank
transactions
● Counting how many bottles are collected with your actions
● Understand your total environmental impact
