The ELISAH app is part of the European Linkage of Initiative from Science to Action in Health project, financed by the EU4Health programme, which aims to reduce the impact of breast cancer by acting on modifiable risk factors and involving NGOs and patient groups.
ELISAH app, on the one hand, collects information useful to study relationship between important risk factorssuch as environmental pollution, the built environment, exposure to unhealthy nutrition, lack of physical activity, as well as alcohol and tobacco use.
On the other hand, the ELISAH app promote prevention, fostering an innovative web-based intervention to stimulate lifestyle changes in diet, physical activity, tobacco and alcohol use, and long-term exposure to environmental agents such as endocrine disruptors, and communicating breast cancer risks related to the exposure to carcinogens.
Through the ELISAH app, users can provide information and receive content related to diet, physical activity, smoking, and alcohol, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The collected data, if the user allows, can be used by the researchers of the Institute to understand which lifestyle factors and other elements are really associated with the development of the disease.
