What is it about?

Our team has pioneered an app-based behavioral intervention called Achieving Wellness After Illness as a Teen (AWAIT) aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles – specifically targeting physical and mental health and positive health behaviors – among adolescent cancer survivors. The app content will be based on an empirically supported protocol, augmented with additional empirically supported strategies, and specifically target the needs of adolescent cancer survivors. App functioning will facilitate weekly homework assignments and include health education messaging, the ability to track progress toward goals over time via self-tracking, videos of topic-related inspirational material, and a portal for interacting with the coach. Non-study participants will be able to access the informational videos only.
