Selling, and most importantly, buying fine wine since 1991, owner Eddy Le Garrec has been in the business for over 25 years. Born and raised in France, he moved to Los Angeles in his late 20’s and was part of the growing wine rush of the 90’s in the U.S.

As a wine educator, he introduced and updated “Le Nez du Vin” to Wineries and schools all over the country, helping  students  improving  their olfactory senses.

Eddy moved on to open “W Wine Boutique” in Miami and became the #1 retail store for wine over $75 and Champagne in the whole state of Florida, and was awarded “Outstanding Wine Shop” by Wine Spectator. He sold the concept to SAQ Canada. 

After the 3-year national non-compete contract ended, Eddy took over a “back label” location and reinstated the proven “W Wine Boutique” concept in New York City under the name of “Empire State of Wine.”
