To learn vocabulary in order to have effective communication in a second language
To increase a higher vocabulary development which will enable the learner to comprehend texts more easily as comprehension will not be disrupted because of their ability to infer meaning of unknown words
To have good pronunciation of English by listening to a native English speaker which is essential for effective communication
To complete a test to see how much vocabulary a learner knows, from matching words to pictures to completing gaps.
