Fandango is a classic app that belongs on the devices of every movie buff. With a Fandango account, you're able to pre-purchase your movie tickets without having to go to the box office first. The movie showtime app allows users to browse showtimes by movie or theater, and you can make a wish list of movies that you don't want to miss out on. Notifications let you know when a movie starts playing so you aren't late, and there are exclusives and giveaways that are only in the app, so don't miss out.

The spotlight is on. If the movie you want to see is a recent new release, there are high chances that it will be featured and show up in the "Spotlight" section. The Spotlight is also a great way to discover what new titles are out there in case you weren't aware of them, or you can search for what you want to see. Then you'll get the movie detail page where you can select showtimes at nearby theaters and purchase your tickets directly with the "Buy" button. Take your electronic ticket to the theater and you're in. It's as easy as pie!
The theaters are open. Chances are you've been to a nearby theater for most of your movie viewing sessions. Fandango has you covered there too. You can view all of the nearby theaters on a map or a list view, and add your favorites for quick access later. Then tap on the theater you want to see available showtimes so you can purchase tickets quickly and easily. There is also a convenient little feature called "Go Now" to view movies that are playing within the hour at nearby theaters. Planning your movie date has never been easier. Find and choose from the nearest theaters that offer Fandango ticketing on a list or a map. Add your favorite theaters to quickly access them in the app. You can also tap Go Now to find a movie playing at nearby theaters within the next hour.
The notifications are pushed. While we all live hectic lives, chances are high that we may end up forgetting about an upcoming release or movie we've already planned to see. Fandango has push notifications that you can enable to get notified of your next screening so you aren't late, and there are even chances for exclusives and giveaways that you don't want to miss out on. If you have the Fandango app, enable those notifications so you don't miss out on a single thing!
What is it about?
Fandango does have some cool features not offered in other apps. You have the option of opening a Fandango account, which allows you to purchase your tickets right from your phone (if available at your theater). You can browse showtimes by movie or theater, rate movies, and even create a wish list of movies that you want to see. Fandango will then notify you when they start playing at a theater near you. Sadly there are small banner ads, even a few pop-ups, and Fandango does load slower than the essential apps.
