Fault Navigator is a mobile app runs on your iPad or iPhone and navigates you to Ultrasonic suspects that are picked up from Network Rail’s Ultrasonic Test Unit (UTU) measurement train fleet with the help of GNSS and Augmented Reality. It works using your camera to recognise the track and guides you to your suspect using Augmented Reality. A virtual pin will show you the precise (cm-level) location of the suspect when you get close to it.
