App Store Description

FinCalc TVM is a flexible utility that helps students and professionals in the finance industry find results on the fly for problems that involve:

1- Single or fixed payments such as fixed deposits and loans.

2- Perpetual payments such as using the Dividend Discount Model to value the price of a stock or finding the price of a perpetual bond.

3- Annuity payments such as loans and other debt and equity instruments that can grow or have a terminal value.

4- Variable payments such as capital budgeting problems that involve a variable stream of cash flows.

FinCalc organizes those problem types into tabs so it is easier to switch between them and experiment with different time value of money dynamics and inputs. It utilizes intuitive UI elements such as sliders and its own keypad and updates results instantly in the event of an input change. Input variable terms are generic and can represent more specific terms depending on the problem at hand. For example, the generic term "Annual Interest Rate" might be specifically the "Expected Rate of Return," "Cost of Equity Capital," "Discount Rate," among others.

The app can also take a snapshot of the result, saves it to the camera roll, and presents an email form if the device has an active default email account configured.
