App Store Description

Record video, doodle, voice-over, and share fun digital flip book animations with friends. Augment reality with your imagination!

Start by snapping a quick video of a tree or you holding your hand out, then draw a stick figure walking up your arm or a bird perching on a branch. Frame-by-frame, use the copy tools to streamline the creation process or use the line manipulation tools to create fluid, realistic motion. With this application, the possibilities are literally endless. Intended as a tinker-tool rather than a fully fledged professional art app, let your imagination go wild without worrying too much about the outcome. No matter what age or artistic experience, Flikitt makes it easy to create cool projects that you can show your friends.

While this application isn't a technically a professional animation application, there still are powerful tools that help with the process. Starting a project from scratch, you can choose the frame rate, as well as the number of frames, you would like your capture to consist of. After you finish, you enter the editor. There, you can operate in one of three modes: Play mode, draw mode, or edit mode.

PLAY MODE
------------
In play mode, you can control the frame rate your animation will play at with the fps slider, play your animation, and hold to record a sound over your animation.

DRAW MODE
------------
In draw mode, you can use three tools: the pencil, manipulation tool, or the eraser. Use the pencil to draw your lines anywhere on the screen, right after you choose your color out of nine swatches and your line thickness with the slider. After you've drawn your line, or copied from a previous frame, use the manipulation tool to move it anywhere, or use two fingers to scale along the X or Y axis. The catch radius will control how many lines are affected and to what magnitude they change. If you have made a mistake, use the eraser tool and easily tap away whole lines to streamline the process.

EDIT MODE
------------
In edit mode, use the frame scrubber to quickly seek a specific frame. If an audio clip exists, tap the track button in the lower right hand corner to reveal the waveform. You can use this to sync up your animation with your sound, if needed. You can also use the vertical slider to adjust the image transparency and use the toggle to effect one or all frames. Use this if you just want to see your lines, with no image underneath.

Among the essential UI (always on screen no matter the mode) you can delete frames and quick copy lines from the last frame. You can also use the green checkmark to save your project to your local device or the share button to begin the Apple Replay Kit (which you may have to tap three times) to save your project to your camera roll, or share with friends on any social media.

NOTE: The app was developed by Ian Wilkey, a computer engineering student class of 2023. Because of the absence of a team, updates may not happen within days of each other. However, this has been a project he has been working on for three months, so it's safe to say he's passionate and works on new features and bug fixes as often as he can.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: If you find a bug (which as of 2.0.0, there are a few), please DO NOT write a one star review or threaten to delete the app! Help the developer out! Email ianzz1233@gmail.com OR go to the customer service page and post about the bug. The developer will get to it as fast as possible.

Thank you for downloading, and happy fliking! Please post your fliks anywhere you can! Email them to developer as well! He would love to see what you have made!
