App Store Description

A digital herbarium

The "Flora Capture" app is part of the Flora product family. With this app it will be possible to support the research work on the project "Flora Incognita".

Images of flowering wild plants from defined perspectives are used to train the image recognition algorithms that will be used in our plant identification app "Flora Incognita"

Take a close look! A flower looks quite different from the side, compared to from a bee's line of flight, and sometimes the underside of a leaf is covered with hair. We are curious what you will be noticing once you become a part of our interdisciplinary research team.

It does not matter whether the species you find are conspicuous, inconspicuous, colorful, large or small. For capturing a plant with the Flora Capture App, it should be blooming and be a native wild plant in Germany.

The App does not need an in Internet connection to be used. Your observations can be uploaded later directly from the app to our project server.

AppAdvice does not own this application and only provides images and links contained in the iTunes Search API, to help our users find the best apps to download. If you are the developer of this app and would like your information removed, please send a request to [email protected] and your information will be removed.
