App Store Description

foodmoyo is the platform where food lovers across the world can connect to like-minded foodies locally as well as globally. They can exchange recipes, post pictures and videos, review restaurants and share their culinary tales with a larger audience. Local restaurants can target this highly-clustered foodie community and send out deals and offers exclusively tailored to their needs.

Feature section/Transactional story:

Once the user downloads the sleek and modern looking app foodmoyo, it will prompt them to sign up using their basic profile information name, email, password, country, contact number and nearest city and will also urge users to enable location services. Users will be asked to choose their dietary preference and favorite cuisines and beverages which will help foodmoyo suggest new connections based on shared interests and enable restaurants to send out targeted offers and focused ads. The user can choose to not specify their preferences right away and come back to it later. So in a few clicks and swipe actions and in less than 2 minutes, the user can get logged into foodmoyo.
Once the user logs in, foodmoyo will suggest to them foodies with similar interests in food and beverages and primarily from their geographical neighborhood. Once they get connected, they can see each other's posts and activities on their home pages. These posts and social interactions include everything from posting photos and videos, sharing recipes and blog posts and participating in polls and quizzes conducted by foodmoyo. They can also enroll and participate in culinary workshops and gift their loved ones foodmoyo gift cards. Meanwhile, local restaurants can tap the users based on their unique interests and send them offers specially curated to their needs. Once the user grabs the offer they will be taken to the restaurant page where they can add chosen items to the cart. Users can select between dine-in, pickup and delivery (input the address in case of delivery) and checkout following an extremely seamless payment procedure. Once the order is confirmed by the restaurant, users will be able to track it in real time and follow its status as it is getting prepared, picked up and delivered.

Problem Solving:

One seventy three million Americans identify themselves as foodies and 54% of them are cooking more at home. With limits on social gatherings and restrictions on large groups dining in restaurants, many of them are looking online to share their culinary journeys and connect with fellow foodies. However there is no centralized portal where foodies can connect and restaurants can send targeted offers. It's here that foodmoyo steps in and provides foodies with a place to connect with others on shared interests, transact with local businesses and give trusted reviews. It also helps sellers to create offers for a hyper-targeted audience to drive revenues, promote brand awareness and reduce food waste.

Technical Requirement:

To get the optimal foodmoyo experience, the user needs to enable their location, file/media and camera permissions. The app also needs an active internet connection without which users would neither be updated with new posts from their foodie social circle nor would they be able to steal those delicious offers sent by restaurants. Users do not have to pay a dime to use this app, however business owners or restaurants have to subscribe to a basic or premium plan after 90 days of registration. Users also have the option of posting in local languages using their keyboard.

This app is not designed to run properly on the iPad.
