App Store Description

Gardening Augur 2 looks at the position of objects in the sky to determine what influences there are that may affect your gardening. This information is useful for those who want to plant by the phase of the moon, and for those who want to use the more involved Biodynamic moon calendar planting system.

The observation of rhythms in nature plays a key role in Moon gardening practice. What is important is not just where the Sun or Moon is at a given moment, but also what the trend of its movement is, and how they relate to each other. One of the most obvious rhythms of the Moon that can be observed is the Phase of the Moon, which is the relationship between the Sun and Moon. Traditional farming practices all over the world use this to determine what activities to perform.

In the case of the Sun, the most important considerations are how long it stays in the sky overhead. This is reflected in the seasons. The Moon has a similar rhythm which we might call the Moon Season.

As well as the Sun and Moon the other classical planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) are also covered, with their location in the sky with respect to the zodiac. This is done not only for the Tropical Calendar, but also the Sidereal equal division and Sidereal Unequal division calendars. Also included in the trend analysis are the distances and declination in the sky.
