Gary Bunt Cathedral Tour

Paintings by Gary Bunt regularly feature a man (Bert) and his dog (the commentator). This exhibition sees Bert and his dog telling the story of the life of Christ – from The Nativity to The Ascension. Each of the 51 paintings has a relevant poem and together they create a personal and imaginative view of The New Testament. It will be touring UK cathedrals during 2020.

This app includes all the poems and a video by the artist, as well as dates and details about the tour.
The app is Bluetooth Beacon and GPS enabled. This is used to show you relevant content based on your location at the event. Please note that you do not have to be at one of the cathedrals on the tour in order to access any of the content in the app.

The app also uses Location Services and Bluetooth Low Energy to determine your location when the app is running in the background. It will trigger notifications when you are close to a location of interest. We have used GPS and Bluetooth Low Energy in a power-efficient way: such as only performing Bluetooth Low Energy scans when you are close to a location that uses bluetooth beacons. However, as with all apps that use location, please note that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
