GatherNation

It's time for a social app that actually brings people together, not another social media app that gives artificial interactions with imaginary friends!

GatherNation makes it easy to meet, replacing the group text thread and promoting ad hoc hospitality.

If you are coordinating, this is for you! You can invite groups of friends. You can set a person limit (let's say you want to open your house to a group of 15 friends, but limit those who come to 5). You can also list items for people to bring and create polls.

If you are doing a game or sport that requires a certain number to play, you can share the idea with that minimum number set. You will receive a notification when you have enough people to make the gathering official. You will also be able to see a graph of when people are able to come.

If you are attending, this is super convenient! Each gathering has it's own message thread which you can mute. The activity feed shows everything that's happening (including chit-chat on the gathering message threads and each time someone decides to come to a gathering you are invited to). If you decide not to come, those messages won't show up in your feed any longer.

Getting started is super easy! GatherNation will search for users in your contacts, allowing you to add friends. Then you will be able to join any public groups they are a part of.
