App Store Description

This learning app is part of the research project "Gen(i)us: Artikel lernen digital". The project is being conducted by researchers at Freie Universität Berlin, Department of Special Education, and Clara Hoffbauer University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, Chair of Language and Communication in Social Work.

The aim is to investigate whether practicing with the learning app "Das Die Der - Artikel lernen", which we have developed, brings about a short- and medium-term improvement in article usage.

If you or your child are not yet participating in the study, but are interested in supporting science and practicing articles along the way, please register at the following link: http://ewi-psy.fu-berlin.de/sprachentwicklung_studienanmeldung (GEN(I)US - contact person: Sarah Tan).

All participants will receive the full version of the learning app "Das Die Der - German Articles". This can be found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=genus.genius

Training with the learning app supports the acquisition of the article (genus, grammatical gender) of nouns. The learning concept is particularly suitable for teaching and speech therapy. For a large set of nouns, the article is intensively practiced and consolidated in a playful and varied way. Article errors in speech are thus reduced. Using the app is particularly useful for children and adults learning German as a foreign or second language, as well as for children with language development disorders.
