App Store Description

GHMP Videos is brought to you by Global Health Media Project. We produce and distribute teaching videos worldwide. The primary audience for the videos are frontline health workers in low-resource settings. Based on international standards of care, the videos provide high-quality, step-by-step visual instructions that are easy to understand and put into action. They are professionally filmed on-location in developing world clinics and voiced over to enable narration in local languages.

The app gives you access to our teaching videos in English, French, Spanish, and Swahili. They can be streamed online, or downloaded and saved onto your phone or tablet to use offline at any time.

The videos are organized by major subject area and language. Within each subject area, the videos are arranged alphabetically. Each subject area provides a deep dive into a particular topic. Major topics covered are newborn care, childbirth, and breastfeeding. You also have access to two public health animations, The Story of Cholera and The Story of Ebola.

Once you select a video, you will be given a choice to watch it on YouTube or save it onto your device. All videos that you download will be stored in your “Saved Video Library”.

This app runs natively on both iPhone and iPad. It will automatically recognize your device.

We would like to recognize the excellent work of Eric Zhang, a sophomore at University of California-San Diego, in preparing this app.
