▶ GIANLUIGI BUFFON // HIS CAREER

Gianluigi Buffon was born in Carrara on January 28, 1978, into a family of sportspeople. After his first approaches to football, he was acquired by Parma at the age of 13. On November 19, 1995, aged 17, he made his first appearance in Serie A, in the Parma vs Milan match: in the following six seasons, he became the pillar of the club. In the 2001/02 season, he moved to Juventus, the club where he became the best goalkeeper of all times, and a reference point for every football fan. In 17 seasons playing for Juventus and Italy, he won almost everything, getting close even to the Ballon D’Or.

At the end of the 2017/18 season, he says goodbye to the Bianconeri, to begin a new adventure at Paris Saint-Germain.
