Giftitude

Giftitude is a unique way to encourage sharing your gratitude with others. Many times we feel grateful for someone’s actions or deeds and acknowledge them internally with a mental note to let them know how we feel. Unfortunately, days and weeks go by and we slowly forget. Convert those feelings into action with Giftitude!

In the white paper prepared for the John Templeton Foundation by the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, Summer Allen, Ph.D., she writes, “studies have examined possible connections between gratitude and various elements of psychological well-being. In general, more grateful people are happier, more satisfied with their lives, less materialistic, and less likely to suffer from burnout. Additionally, some studies have found that gratitude practices, like keeping a “gratitude journal” or writing a letter of gratitude, can increase people’s happiness and overall positive mood.”

Giftitude allows you to show your gratitude in three distinct ways: Contact, Self and Universe. Make your gratitude known to others in your Contacts. Sending to the Universe is an exercise in gratitude for positive events that the Universe has given you. Self works as a journal.

Messages are validated by the receiver for credit towards recognition Badges. The initial Badges are for number of Gifts sent, days in a row a Gift is sent and unique humans that are sent a message. A daily habit of showing gratitude can be formed by striving for these Badges.
